I don’t know about you, but that’s what I’m after πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ🏻. I just want to feel good 😌 in my body & mind so I can experience each day as a gift + #enjoylife❀️ Simple as That! 

Thankfully our understanding around #aging has evolved dramatically!! Genetics only account for 20-25% of our #longevity, and our ability to age w/o disease....That means...WE HOLD THE KEYS πŸ”‘ to our aging kingdom!! 

Our Environment, diet, movement & lifestyle choices are {mostly} in our control, and they have the biggest effect on our longevity!! Best of all πŸŽ‰ most of these #healthyhabits are simple, sustainable and enjoyable! Let’s spell it out! 

1. Add Sustainable Fish to your Diet: 
all it takes is 1-2 servings of fish per week to reap the omega-3 β€”inflammation fighting benefits! Salmon, tuna and flounder are our favorites πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

2. Berries 🫐 πŸ“ contain a host of cell protecting antioxidants that aid the aging of your body & brain. Studies show that 3 servings/week may help reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes & dementia. Berries are also a great sources of fiber and delicious!! They are perfectly ripe right now too!! Yummmmy πŸ‘ŒπŸ₯°

3. Exercise Regularly πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸŽ‰for yiur fountain of youth! Cardio πŸƒβ€β™€οΈhelps strengthen your heart, and promotes healthy blood flow. Strength training preserves muscle mass (that we naturally lose as we age) and bone density. πŸ’ͺ🏻

4. Eat your Greens πŸ₯¬ 
Leafy greens like Spinach, chard, kale, and cruciferous veggies like cauliflower & broccoli πŸ₯¦ are your power house!!! Fiber, Vitamins B, A, C and Vitamin K β€”all associated with longevity & protection against chronic disease and inflammation. 

5. Sleep 😴 Most adults need 7-8 hours. Protect your bedtime routine, just as you would for a child πŸ’•

6. Social Connections: Keep your friends close on the regular y’all!! In this digital world, we are losing some of our innate desires to connect with our tribe! 

Human interaction cannot be replaced with a screen, and it’s vital to our well-being. Strong social relationships are a cornerstone of β€œblue zones”-regions of the world with remarkably high centenarians.

When you keep it simple, easy and attainable it’s so much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle! 

One of the first things I do with new clients is to look at their current wellness routines and see how we can slightly enhance what they are already doing. Or start with ONE ☝️ foundational habit like eating veggies at breakfast and then building from there πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ’―

There is no need to overwhelm yourself with a huge overhaul all at once! Simply start the day with these questions 

*Am I hydrated?
*Did I make time to go outside β˜€οΈ
*Did I plan for enough protein to support my activity levels & replenish my muscles πŸ’ͺ🏻?
*Do I have enough healthy fats so that I’m satisfied & satiated?
*Am I enjoying my meals?! πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ€οΈπŸŽ‰ 

There is no need for perfection y’all! Start small and make it happen!
