Yes–you remember struggles and hardships, but not with as great of frequency or detail. The love and goodness in your life ✨becomes crystal clear

You will not discuss or remember the petty little nuance things that seem to consume your mind on the average day. Like your spouse forgetting to pick up his dirty socks, or the annoyance of COVID face masks, or the house is never clean/organized “enough” or that you were 10 min late to a meeting and it’s now ruined your mood, your perspective and your day. 

These are the small little things that we give way too much attention. They derail our happiness, they postpone our joy. Will your future 80 year old self –sitting on the porch looking back on your life –remember the socks, the clean house or the appointment? 

Like your wiser self, let that stuff go!! Exhale it away!! Focus and relish in all the good in your life! Sending love & light
I have a #visualization exercise that will rock yo I have a #visualization exercise that will rock your #wellnesswednesday ❤️✨💥

Visualization is simply training your mind. You are practicing for the future you want in great detail. How does it feel? Look? Taste? Sound? See yourself getting that promotion, see yourself winning that race, see yourself with a new book deal, visualize yourself traveling to Italy and enjoying fresh, homemade pasta 💯 You get the idea! 💕

Visualization is a little different and more like manifestation. If you are struggling to become enlightened with meditation (like me), I challenge you to get curious about #visualization. It has been a powerful tool!

I’m going to introduce Y’ALL to my favorite visualization. It’s inspired by The Wiser Self Visualization led by yoga extraordinaire @fernybarcelo . I often turn to this exercise when I’m feeling stuck, need self compassion or a fresh perspective.

Ok–Get comfy & imagine yourself enjoying a cup of coffee on your front porch with your 80 year old self. Look at her–take in her presence! Notice the peace and contentment she has. 💕 

She knows YOUR story, your pain, obstacles and challenges you’ve faced. Your current struggles. What you need help with. She understands your joy, your love and what you want from life. What does she say to you? What advice does she offer to you? What support do you need in this moment?! Take it in!

Think of how you might spend time reminiscing + looking fondly back on your Good Ole Days ❤️.

Notice how your mind chooses to remember + savor those special, tender, everyday moments. Your loved ones, your friends, your favorite cozy restaurant. 

Notice that after meeting your older self, how you look within with more self compassion. You relish in your ability to conquer the challenges, to enjoy the transitions and to physically LIVE, move & breath in a way that is no longer accessible in your older body—staring back at you

Let my slip up today encourage you to put yourself first and prepare a nourishing lunch for tomorrow ✅! 

I’m usually pretty good about looking at my week, and planning ahead, but sometimes things fall through the cracks (like today) For “lunch” I end up eating a protein bar, berries and half of Zia’s GF grilled cheese {RANDOM—not one veggie 🤣}at 3p—
because I skipped my usual 1:30p lunch 🥙 my mind & body felt ravenous—FYI that’s not the best time to decide what to eat!!! Your body will trick you into picking something fast, and likely sugar/carb heavy for quick energy! But hey 👋 it happens!!!

What I should have done is 🛑stopped, taken a deep breath and acknowledged that no I would not die of starvation 🤣 by simply pausing & taking 10 minutes to throw together a balanced salad 🥗 💕

I know better! So now I’m set up for success for tomorrow & Wednesday BAM 💥 Here’s the details on my go-to #salmonsalad 

Happy Dinner Salmon Salad
2 cans @wildplanetfoods salmon (or tuna)
4 celery stalks diced
1/2 smashed avocado 🥑 
1 Tb superfood pesto 
1/4 C organic walnuts—rough chopped 
Diced red onion to taste 
Dill—Salt—Pepper
Enjoy over arugula or butter leaf lettuce 🥬

#1 Stop comparing yourself to anyone else! It’s not your business what others “may” think of you. Or how they decide to live their life. 

Comparison robs you of joy 💕y'all! When you are focused on external factors (that you have no control over anyway), you are missing the opportunity to turn inward —to listen to your heart, your gut instinct, your body, 

Ok ✅ I know this is all easier said than done, and please know that I need to hear 👂 this just as much as anyone. It's human nature to compare. We make comparisons everyday without even realizing it, and there are many benefits to making comparisons! 

We aim to fall in love with the "best" partner, we seek out the most appropriate job for our skills, we pick the perfectly ripe avocado 🥑 at the store... Select the softest shirt 👚 or the leggings with the most compression 😂. 

The problem lies when we compare ourselves, and our personal journey to others. Particularly on social media--based on what we see on our feed. “She is having more fun” 🤣. She is more successful, she is a better runner, she is a better mother....STOP 🛑 

This comparison thought loop steals your joy and brings all positive energy to a halt. We are all on our own journey friends--and the moment you take the focus from your path--you forget where you are going. 🛑 “She” is not you! You have a unique set of gifts that no one else has 🎉✨💯
Honor & cherish them! How?!

That's where positive affirmations come in!! Things like

✨I am clear on my purpose
✨I am committed to trust in my journey, no matter the pace
✨I am doing the best I can 
 
Another option is to truly be happy for others and find the joy for them and WITH them!! I think this is what makes life really fun and amazing. Just because something isn't happening to YOU, doesn't mean you can't join the party 🎉 and CHEER for someone else!! 

Get in the habit of saying things like:
"I'm so happy for you--What an amazing opportunity or experience". 

“Congratulations--you must feel so accomplished. I've loved watching your journey and cheering you on from afar!!”
