Iโ€™m experiencing a little #springfever over here Iโ€™m experiencing a little #springfever over here!! Anyone else?! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

The wildflowers are blooming all over #atx ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ the sun is shining, and there are gorgeous tulips ๐ŸŒท and sunflowers ๐ŸŒป tempting me at every grocery run ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’• Iโ€™m loving it!! 

Everything just feels #alive and #vibrant โ˜€๏ธ After a snowy, cold winterโ€”the spring energy feels #sogood 

Iโ€™m taking that energy and using it to #reset. Taking time to examine and honor whatโ€™s working in my life, in my daily routine. And then purge or adjust what is no longer serving me, or draining my joy. Sometimes we hold on to ideas ๐Ÿ’ก just because the pattern is a habit. But as we shift and change, our needs shift and change. 

Spring is a great time to clean out the proverbial cobwebs and start #fresh!! Remove the clutter, clear your palette and head to a fresh start!! Whoโ€™s in?!

Itโ€™s not lost on me that by the grace of God, I was born to a capable, supportive, loving family. I never had to worry where my next meal was coming from, or if I had school supplies, or basic toiletries, or shoes ๐Ÿฅฒ. For so many kids, thatโ€™s just not the case. 

Imagine what that worry and anxiety is like inside the mind of a sweet, innocent child...struggling to just get the basics. 
Or feeling lost without the guidance of a loving adult.

If you can provide support for someone in need, I hope you offer it. The need is immense and the impact could change someoneโ€™s life ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I donโ€™t know about you, but thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m after ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป. I just want to feel good ๐Ÿ˜Œ in my body & mind so I can experience each day as a gift + #enjoylifeโค๏ธ Simple as That! 

Thankfully our understanding around #aging has evolved dramatically!! Genetics only account for 20-25% of our #longevity, and our ability to age w/o disease....That means...WE HOLD THE KEYS ๐Ÿ”‘ to our aging kingdom!! 

Our Environment, diet, movement & lifestyle choices are {mostly} in our control, and they have the biggest effect on our longevity!! Best of all ๐ŸŽ‰ most of these #healthyhabits are simple, sustainable and enjoyable! Letโ€™s spell it out! 

1. Add Sustainable Fish to your Diet: 
all it takes is 1-2 servings of fish per week to reap the omega-3 โ€”inflammation fighting benefits! Salmon, tuna and flounder are our favorites ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

2. Berries ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ“ contain a host of cell protecting antioxidants that aid the aging of your body & brain. Studies show that 3 servings/week may help reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes & dementia. Berries are also a great sources of fiber and delicious!! They are perfectly ripe right now too!! Yummmmy ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฅฐ

3. Exercise Regularly ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰for yiur fountain of youth! Cardio ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธhelps strengthen your heart, and promotes healthy blood flow. Strength training preserves muscle mass (that we naturally lose as we age) and bone density. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

4. Eat your Greens ๐Ÿฅฌ 
Leafy greens like Spinach, chard, kale, and cruciferous veggies like cauliflower & broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ are your power house!!! Fiber, Vitamins B, A, C and Vitamin K โ€”all associated with longevity & protection against chronic disease and inflammation. 

5. Sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด Most adults need 7-8 hours. Protect your bedtime routine, just as you would for a child ๐Ÿ’•

6. Social Connections: Keep your friends close on the regular yโ€™all!! In this digital world, we are losing some of our innate desires to connect with our tribe! 

Human interaction cannot be replaced with a screen, and itโ€™s vital to our well-being. Strong social relationships are a cornerstone of โ€œblue zonesโ€-regions of the world with remarkably high centenarians.
