In case you need some natural #postholiday #detoxi In case you need some natural #postholiday #detoxification this week 😉—make this super simple sautéed cabbage 🥬. It goes perfectly with my roasted chicken breast (chicken recipe is on my IG page) 

I definitely enjoyed all the tequila, wine and treats last week 😋. #sofunwhileitlasted 🙌🏼 

This week it’s all about getting back to my #pillarsofhealth 💪🏻—so I can feel my best during this whirlwind of a #holidayseason 🎄🥳

This #happydinner checks all the boxes— #flavor #fiber #phytonutrients #protein #healthyfat + it’s easy 🙌🏼

Did you know that cabbage has 1 grams of fiber for every 10 calories—that helps fill you up, keep you regular, helps you flush toxins and even lowers bad LDL! Talk about a #superfood 💥

I prefer my #cabbage cooked with olive oil so it’s easier to digest, plus the added benefit of antioxidants! I also add mustard oil for a yummy 😋 spicy flavor + extra omegas, then I finish it off with yuzu seasoning, Jennifer fisher spicy salt and Microgreens. 

All you need to do to make this in your own kitchen—is grab a bag of organic mixed cabbage, 2 tb of olive oil, 2 tb mustard oil, 1 tsp spicy salt, 1 tb yuzu furikake  seasoning and a handful of Microgreens —then sauté and enjoy with protein of choice

The days between Thanksgiving & Christmas seem to be on fast forward ⏩ and I’ve had moments where I’m simply going through the motions on autopilot 🤪—moments when I reach the end of the day in a blur and Its like “what just happened?!?!” 

I decided today during my AM workout that I can do better! I can slow down, I can take a moment to breathe 🧘‍♀️, to maintain my health driven priorities 💪🏻💥 to move my body and prioritize only what is truly important 

These are the #mantras I’m pinning to my computer 🖥️ with the goal of staying true to myself so I can fully embrace and enjoy the #holidayseason with #joy & #presence 

🎄Embrace presence and “good enough” over perfection —finding beauty in the messy 
🎄Continue to show up for my health & wellness and honor my daily routines—so I can be my best self 
🎄#givegenerously : Who can I serve, what can I share today? Positive energy & hugs 🥰 count
🎄Be mindful with how I spend my time—-know that everyday is a blessing 

It’s the first one EVER holiday season without my Dad, and it feels 💔 and unbelievable and so different…. The only way through it is through it so I might as well LIVE it, experience it and show up for myself because everyday is a gift 🎁

Start w a 7-10 minute warmup—I jumped on the tread for a jog then did a 1 minute plank #letsgoyall 🙌🏼

💥single arm squat thrust + overhead press
💥single arm row from incline lunge 

Superset #2
💥push up + weight pull through 
💥one arm clean to press 

Superset #3
Goblet lateral lunges 
Weighted side plank —-5 reach throughs + 30 second hold per side 

I Finished with a few sets of pull ups 😉 I’ve neglected my pull up game lately! Felt good to be back! 🙌🏼💪🏻💥

In the season of gratitude, I've never felt more frazzled, stretched, grumpy and frankly ungrateful. Our once regimented family schedule has become erratic, hard to predict, hard to manage and has left me feeling equally unhinged.  As I was driving home from a three day {action packed} dance competition filled with stress, angst + exhaustion. I realized that I completely missed the opportunity to experience the JOY and the FUN in my life lately. 

Yes, the 15 hour days, filled with nervous competitive energy and heart attack inducing "quick changes" are challenging, but I could have laughed at the chaos, I could have taken a moment to pause and feel proud or moved by the magnitude of talent, discipline and determination enveloping the convention. 

I could have found something, anything to be grateful for.... 

It turns out it's pretty simple to cultivate gratitude in your life. You just have to pay attention to the goodness surrounding you and flip 🤩your perspective. The more you focus on the goodness ❤️in your life, the more it grows.

I came up with this list to cultivate more gratitude in my own life. I hope it inspires you to create your own! It also makes a great "table topics" conversation for the Thanksgiving table 😊😊
