You are not battery 🔋 powered y’all! You need to stop and nourish, stop and hydrate, stop 🛑 for sunlight ☀️ just take five!

If you spend your day going going going 💨 you’ll only increase your cortisol & inflammation which will basically derail all the work you are grinding toward your health goals! 

I hope you take 10 min for ease, and some #selflove today!!

When you keep it simple, easy and attainable it’s so much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle! 

One of the first things I do with new clients is to look at their current wellness routines and see how we can slightly enhance what they are already doing. Or start with ONE ☝️ foundational habit like eating veggies at breakfast and then building from there 🎉🙌🏼💯

There is no need to overwhelm yourself with a huge overhaul all at once! Simply start the day with these questions 

*Am I hydrated?
*Did I make time to go outside ☀️
*Did I plan for enough protein to support my activity levels & replenish my muscles 💪🏻?
*Do I have enough healthy fats so that I’m satisfied & satiated?
*Am I enjoying my meals?! 🙌🏼❤️🎉 

There is no need for perfection y’all! Start small and make it happen!

A little #30minuteworkout with Zander & Zia!! We a A little #30minuteworkout with Zander & Zia!! We all brought the heat 🔥and had so much fun together in the gorgeous morning sun ☀️ it’s a #sundayfunday over here 👈 for sure! 🙌🏼🎉💕💯

Zander has been doing 200 push ups EVERY single day since March 16th!! 💯🙌🏼!!!! He Just came up with the challenge on his own with a goal of better form and strength 🙌🏼

Love that at EIGHT years old, he puts #fitnessfirst and even inspires #workouts for our family! He challenged me to 3 —40 yd. sprints and legitimately beat me 2/3 times!! 😳😂🤪

Zia holds a mean plank too!! She was right next to us just doing her thing 🥰

*5 Box Jumps (or step ups!!—that’s what Zia did!!)
*10 decline push ups
*10 ea Spider-Man oblique crunches 
*5 Burpee Tuck Jumps
*5 Tuck Jumps
*10 weighted alternating front lunges

*40 yd sprint

Living in The Grey! Most of our life happens “ Living in The Grey! 

Most of our life happens “in between” the big events y’all. It’s the mundane, middle of the week, middle of the day, everyday occurrences that make up our life. 

Like this average walk to the park in the double Bob, six years ago today. I’m sure I never gave this day a second thought 💭 {Then!!}. It was too average, too mundane. 

Now I see it, and I love it! I want to sob 😭 over the rapid pace of life. Watching these little kids bloom into big kids and change sooooo much. Watching everything change so much! 

On this middle of the week #wellnesswednesday, I hope y’all find some time to relish in the mundane! 

What’s something super average and normal that you can give more attention to, find more joy in the journey, in the grind???

I LOVE celebrating 🥳 with my whole heart, but I also adore 🥰 my daily, healthy lifestyle choices—why? Because my #healthyhabits help me feel and perform at my best 💯🙌🏼. Here’s some easy ways to check in with yourself and listen to your body 

1. How many meals do you actually need to support you? Our activity levels impact our food portions. On the days you are more active you will likely need more nourishing food....aim for real food carbs, protein & healthy fats. They will provide your body with the sustained energy it needs, alongside protein that will help rebuild your muscle tissue.

On the other hand, if you’re normally pretty active and you’re taking a rest/break, your body won’t need as much nourishment! 

2. Do you feel overwhelmed/stressed? 
Stress affects your hunger levels in two ways. Your appetite is either suppressed/depressed or you are ravenous and anxious, unable to feel full. 
See if you can find breath work, grounding exercises and sunshine walks to slow down your pace and your mind

3. Distracted Eating 
When you aren't present during a meal, sometimes it feels like it doesn't count.  eating in front of the TV, at your desk, over the kitchen sink, in the car, or anything else that takes your focus away from sitting and enjoying your food. Stay present 💕Eat with others if you can!

4. Prioritize Sleep
Notice how when you lack a good night's sleep how your body craves caffeine and sugar? It's not a coincidence. Poor sleep leads to increased sugar cravings.  When you are tired, reach for quality protein and healthy fat for sustained energy. It might not be what your body is calling for, but it will help you power through your day.

5. Stay Hydrated 
Water is the miracle drug for our body. By drinking enough water everyday you are aiding digestion, supporting your metabolism and providing lubrication to your joints and tissues. If you’re dehydrated, you may feel hungry when you’re thirsty.  If you are called to snack, try drinking a glass of water and waiting 15 minutes!! Sometimes you notice you weren’t hungry, just thirsty!
