#1 Stop comparing yourself to anyone else! It’s not your business what others “may” think of you. Or how they decide to live their life. 

Comparison robs you of joy 💕y'all! When you are focused on external factors (that you have no control over anyway), you are missing the opportunity to turn inward —to listen to your heart, your gut instinct, your body, 

Ok ✅ I know this is all easier said than done, and please know that I need to hear 👂 this just as much as anyone. It's human nature to compare. We make comparisons everyday without even realizing it, and there are many benefits to making comparisons! 

We aim to fall in love with the "best" partner, we seek out the most appropriate job for our skills, we pick the perfectly ripe avocado 🥑 at the store... Select the softest shirt 👚 or the leggings with the most compression 😂. 

The problem lies when we compare ourselves, and our personal journey to others. Particularly on social media--based on what we see on our feed. “She is having more fun” 🤣. She is more successful, she is a better runner, she is a better mother....STOP 🛑 

This comparison thought loop steals your joy and brings all positive energy to a halt. We are all on our own journey friends--and the moment you take the focus from your path--you forget where you are going. 🛑 “She” is not you! You have a unique set of gifts that no one else has 🎉✨💯
Honor & cherish them! How?!

That's where positive affirmations come in!! Things like

✨I am clear on my purpose
✨I am committed to trust in my journey, no matter the pace
✨I am doing the best I can 
 
Another option is to truly be happy for others and find the joy for them and WITH them!! I think this is what makes life really fun and amazing. Just because something isn't happening to YOU, doesn't mean you can't join the party 🎉 and CHEER for someone else!! 

Get in the habit of saying things like:
"I'm so happy for you--What an amazing opportunity or experience". 

“Congratulations--you must feel so accomplished. I've loved watching your journey and cheering you on from afar!!”

Nothing easier than eggs 🍳 y’all! They are natures’ #perfectfood containing all the essential amino acids and protein! Plus they are delicious! 🙌🏼

My favorite version is eggs over medium. I like them a little #jammy 😊. Add sautéed arugula, avocado, cucumber, sunflower sprouts & watermelon radish for a #balancedmeal 🙌🏼 That will fuel your body for an amazing #sunday

✨I'm an #IIN certified #holistichealth #coach and love ❤️ nutrition, wellness and food!! Cooking, Baking & Dining at yummy, #healthyish restaurants in #atx brings me JOY!

✨I rarely follow a recipe. I usually just get in the kitchen and find a flow. I'm not a very creative person, but I guess you could say I get creative in the kitchen! 😊Even if I set out to follow a recipe to the letter, I usually get off track or become inspired to make it my own in some way 😲

✨I met my husband Max on a chance encounter during a girls' weekend in Las Vegas. He's the reason I'm in Austin, and he totally changed the trajectory of my life🙏🏻When you trust your heart—good things happen. 

✨We have 2 kids-- Zander (8) and Zia (6) who are my biggest motivators in eating clean, balancing our nutrition and staying active. I love being a mom and I'm so thankful for these "guides" 

✨I've been running #happydinneratx for 2 1/2 years. It's still a very new project with more growth ahead, but I'm finding #joyinthejourney and I #LOVE working 1x1 with my clients. I'm really proud of the intimacy and trust I've been able to build while #healthcoaching. It's truly remarkable to see transformations, new habits, health realizations and #selflove grow before my eyes. 

✨I love to sweat!! #exercise is one of my loves, and I'm always curious about what's new/ next in the fitness world and  often drag Max along to “try” them 😂. I grew up as a dancer, and it instilled an unbreakable discipline to move my body every single day!! 

✨My first job in high school was making EAS Protein shakes at a heavy weight lifting gym. I remember being so curious about vitamins and supplements and how they enhanced or supported a workout even then! A little bit full circle ⭕️ 

✨love the idea of having a garden and we've successfully grown more veggies than I thought--but I don't find joy in gardening. Wish I did! 

✨I love people, connecting and building #authenticrelationships

Yesterday was happy 😊 & heavy😌 depending on the perspective. I’m not getting into politics here, but I will say that no matter where you stand, choosing to be #happy and consistently making room for the things, people and acts that bring you joy is a habit worth maintaining! 🙌🏼

There is simply no reason to postpone joy & happiness for a future date! When it’s all figured out, when your that “perfect” size, when you have more “time”, when work is caught up , when the house is clean. Nope 👎 that’s your mind keeping you on a perpetual treadmill that never ends. Robbing you of presence, robbing you of joy!

Get out in the world 🌎 do your thing!! Do what you love, make time for what feels good, nourish your body and even more importantly nourish your mind with love ❤️ & positivity!

Let’s Talk Smart Smoothie Formula 🙌🏼💯🎉

Most of my clients rave that their AM smoothie ritual is the single most impactful habit of their day! 👌🙌🏼The one that is easiest to sustain, and yields the biggest BANG for the smallest effort!! 

Balanced Green Smoothies simply elevate your morning, and start your day on a positive, energetic, veggie filled note!! Your body craves what you feed it y’all!

Here's an easy checklist to make sure your smoothie is on par with your health goals!

✨Gather Your Greens!! It is mandatory that your smoothie contain at least ONE, but preferably THREE veggies. Baby spinach and Butter Leaf are almost undetectable + yield a fluffy texture. Cucumber & celery are great forms of hydrating minerals, and frozen riced cauliflower gives your smoothie a creamy, delish consistency!

✨Fold in FAT AND FIBER! Fat + Fiber keep you full, focused and your blood sugar steady– so you can conquer your day! Avocados, Nut Butters, Hemp Seeds, Chia Seeds, Flax and Coconut Oil are some of my favorite clean sources of healthy fat with fiber. 2 TB is all you need!

✨Pack In Protein! My favorite source is Unflavored Marine Collagen Peptides or Bone Broth Protein. If you are vegan–100% Organic Hemp Protein is delicious, high in fiber and anti-inflammatory.

✨Limit Fruit to ONE (maybe two) Servings! I love using berries bc they are high in antioxidants + fiber and low in sugar. Bananas and dates are also great options! They lend your smoothie a sweeter flavor, creamier texture + fuel your body with potassium & magnesium! The goal with fruit is to use a couple servings to provide quick energy. More than that will spike your blood sugar and negate the entire purpose of a green smoothie!

✨Super Smoothies come From Superfoods! Cacao powder and nibs are my all time favs because of the chocolate like flavor + the beneficial antioxidants. I also really love moringa for a dose of extra greens, turmeric for inflammation support and fresh herbs (especially mint and cilantro) for a detoxifying effect.
