If you are struggling to get your kids to eat heal If you are struggling to get your kids to eat healthy, balanced meals, Iโ€™ve been there yโ€™all!!!๐Ÿ˜† and yes the struggle is real ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜†. I remember feeling like such a failure ๐Ÿ˜ž some nights โ€”-tossing or wrapping up another uneaten dinner ๐Ÿ‘Ž 

But I kept at itโ€ฆ.I kept offering the same healthy meals over & over, I kept trying new ways of slicing/cooking & serving the same vegetables. I didnโ€™t let myself become discouraged ๐Ÿซค and I kept putting in the workโ€ฆ.because I knew and I still know that what we put in our body directly effects our performance, our hormones, our behavior, our mood and our overall health ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐ŸŽ‰

I can honestly say, that fast forward FOUR years of CONSISTENTLY serving balanced (protein & veggie centric) meals to our kids that they will eat anything I serve! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰Seriously Anything! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜‹. And they are super curious and open to try new things โ€”which is one of my favorite qualities ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ #sofun to try new things yโ€™all! ๐Ÿคฉ

Yes, obviously they have their favorites and they definitely enjoy junk food, candy & cakeโ€ฆ

But 80% of the time they are eating eggs ๐Ÿณ for breakfast, veggies/fruit & protein for lunch ๐Ÿฅ™ and a big hefty piece of beef ๐Ÿฅฉ or fish + veggies ๐Ÿฅฆ for dinner! Simple as that! 

It definitely did not happen overnightโ€”this is YEARS in the making! But yโ€™allโ€”we have our whole life to get good at #balancednutrition.

๐Ÿ’ฅWe are nourished with adequate protein ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
๐Ÿ’ฅWeโ€™ve reallyyyy increased fiber and added a blend of supplements to open our detox pathways!
๐Ÿ’ฅWe are ending the day with restoration to calm our nervous system so we can improve our sleep quality 

This is not a restrict/juice cleanse/white knuckle it situation! This is #nourishing #wholefood #sustainablyfocused ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cheers to a #mealprepsunday and getting prepared for the week ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘. The kids have no school tomorrow, so this will be a cook once โ€”eat twice #breakfast situation ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

#supereasy to make and so so good ๐Ÿ˜Š 

Ingredients:
6 large eggs
1/2 cup organic heavy whipping cream
2 tb diced shallots 
2 tb EVOO
2 tb chopped cilantro ๐ŸŒฟ 
1 1/2 C broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆโ€”cut into bite sized pieces 
1 C rough chopped curly kale 
Salt ๐Ÿง‚ & Pepper to taste 

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 
Grease 9โ€ baking dish 
Whisk together eggs + cream & S+P in a large bowl. Set aside

2. Heat 2 tb of EVOO on 10โ€ skillet -medium heat. Add shallots + broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ + kale and cook until softened-6 minutes. 

3. Pour veggie mixture into large bowl w eggs and combine. Add cilantro ๐ŸŒฟ.
Transfer egg/veg mixture into 9โ€ baking dish and bake until center is setโ€”about 20 minutes. 
Let stand 5 minutes before serving ๐Ÿ˜‹

Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰ today w salsa & avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘ and again tomorrow ๐Ÿ’ฅ #yes

Your brain ๐Ÿง  loves compartmentalization and keeping systems easy so why not set up your nutrition & fitness as a flexible system ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Iโ€™ve used #gentleconsistency for meal planning + movement for the past 10 years, and itโ€™s my absolute savior. It works yโ€™all! And I can help you create this in your own life!!!! 

Most of the items I make & enjoy โ˜บ๏ธ for breakfast, lunch and dinner are basically reinventions of the same thing!!!! Yesโ€”sometimes Iโ€™m fancy, or out of town on vacay but mostly my #nutrition looks like this 

Breakfast: #greensmoothie or scramble w veggies 
Lunch: #vibrantsalad w #fiber & #protein 
Dinner: a big piece of salmon or steak + cooked veggies or a heaping veggie/protein/herb loaded soup! 

I can totally mix it up and keep it interesting w new flavors & texture, but by using this framework Iโ€™m not reinventing the meal ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ wheel every time I need to nourish myself โ€”-way too exhausting!!
