Taking a pause from #alcohol for a bit…I’ve no Taking a pause from #alcohol for a bit…I’ve noticed the pull to become #sobercurious A LOT more as I age
Put simply— I just feel 💯 better 

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good (very specific 😂) cocktail, but my body just doesn’t digest/process Alcohol as effectively as it did in my 20’s/30’s 😆. Aging is so fun 😂

The unpopular truth is, alcohol is a neurotoxin —When we consume it our body’s #1 priority becomes to get the poison ☠️ out and every other function gets put on the back burner. This disrupts the effectiveness/efficiency of so many valuable processes that effect our total health: Major things like—

fat burning
digestion/gut health
hormone regulation (primarily dumping bad estrogen!)
blood sugar balance
quality REM sleep 😴,
And brain function to name a few. 

Personally when I refrain I notice —my sleep is 1000x better. I wake w mental clarity and energy. I have less sugar cravings and am more likely to consume balanced nutrition. And my favorite benefit—-my workouts are 🔥 and my strength 💪🏻 improves 

This is not an area I’m an expert in -by any means, but because I prioritize health and wellness in soooo many facets of my life—-I know I can be better 🙌🏼💯🎉💥

When I feel called to have a cocktail—I’m pouring a sparkling drink w lime and enjoying it 🤩 —for now…
And when I want a cocktail, I’ll have one—mindfully—and with a lot of food + water!

If you are struggling to get your kids to eat heal If you are struggling to get your kids to eat healthy, balanced meals, I’ve been there y’all!!!😆 and yes the struggle is real 🥲😆. I remember feeling like such a failure 😞 some nights —-tossing or wrapping up another uneaten dinner 👎 

But I kept at it….I kept offering the same healthy meals over & over, I kept trying new ways of slicing/cooking & serving the same vegetables. I didn’t let myself become discouraged 🫤 and I kept putting in the work….because I knew and I still know that what we put in our body directly effects our performance, our hormones, our behavior, our mood and our overall health 💪🏻🙌🏼💥🎉

I can honestly say, that fast forward FOUR years of CONSISTENTLY serving balanced (protein & veggie centric) meals to our kids that they will eat anything I serve! 🎉🎉Seriously Anything! 🙌🏼😋. And they are super curious and open to try new things —which is one of my favorite qualities 🙌🏼 #sofun to try new things y’all! 🤩

Yes, obviously they have their favorites and they definitely enjoy junk food, candy & cake…

But 80% of the time they are eating eggs 🍳 for breakfast, veggies/fruit & protein for lunch 🥙 and a big hefty piece of beef 🥩 or fish + veggies 🥦 for dinner! Simple as that! 

It definitely did not happen overnight—this is YEARS in the making! But y’all—we have our whole life to get good at #balancednutrition.

And we are feeling amazing 🤩 

💥We are properly hydrated
💥We got our 🏃‍♀️ steps +our early AM sun ☀️ 
💥We are nourished with adequate protein 💪🏻
💥We’ve reallyyyy increased fiber and added a blend of supplements to open our detox pathways!
💥We are ending the day with restoration to calm our nervous system so we can improve our sleep quality 

This is not a restrict/juice cleanse/white knuckle it situation! This is #nourishing #wholefood #sustainablyfocused 😊

Cheers to a #mealprepsunday and getting prepared for the week 💥🎉👍. The kids have no school tomorrow, so this will be a cook once —eat twice #breakfast situation 🙌🏼

#supereasy to make and so so good 😊 

Ingredients:
6 large eggs
1/2 cup organic heavy whipping cream
2 tb diced shallots 
2 tb EVOO
2 tb chopped cilantro 🌿 
1 1/2 C broccoli 🥦—cut into bite sized pieces 
1 C rough chopped curly kale 
Salt 🧂 & Pepper to taste 

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 
Grease 9” baking dish 
Whisk together eggs + cream & S+P in a large bowl. Set aside

2. Heat 2 tb of EVOO on 10” skillet -medium heat. Add shallots + broccoli 🥦 + kale and cook until softened-6 minutes. 

3. Pour veggie mixture into large bowl w eggs and combine. Add cilantro 🌿.
Transfer egg/veg mixture into 9” baking dish and bake until center is set—about 20 minutes. 
Let stand 5 minutes before serving 😋

Enjoy 😉 today w salsa & avocado 🥑 and again tomorrow 💥 #yes
