My Favorite Superfood Smoothies

Want to know something funny!! I’ve been making smoothies since high school. One of my first jobs was as a protein shake “mixer” and supplement salesperson at MASS PLUS. A heavy weight gym where people came to power lift and sip on EAS protein shakes post workout.

Looking back, it’s funny how I was so curious about fitness, supplements and nutrition even as a teen. I would devour health magazines, and try to learn as much as I could about supplements and vitamins while at work. While the fundamentals of my philosophy on post exercise nutrition has changed–I still feel like I’ve come full circle!

One HUGE shift in the smoothie making world over the last 20 years are the abundance of super food supplements!!! Beyond whey protein and blending raw eggs , there wasn’t a whole lot on the market back in my teens. Now we have so many amazing nourishing options and delicious flavor combinations at our fingertips.

Iโ€™m a believer that the best vitamins come from whole foods, and superfoods are whole foods packed with nutrition!. PLUS the “super” enhancements taste good!

Super Foods We Use on The Regular! Seeds like hemp, chia, pumpkin and flax. Herbs like turmeric, mint and cilantro. Plant based protein, Collagen Peptides, Adaptogens, Mushrooms, Berries, Greens and more!

Immune Boosting Golden Milk Smoothie

Delicious and naturally delivers antioxidants, reduced inflammation plus fat, fiber and greens!

Equipment

  • High Speed Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 Scoops Primal Kitchen Golden Milk Collagen Peptides
  • 2 Cups Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 Persian Cucumber
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Butter
  • 1 pitted date
  • 4 Baby Carrots
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh OJ
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 2 Ice Cubes

Instructions

  • Add all your ingredients to your high speed blender and blitz on high until the consistency is creamy!

  • High Speed Blender

  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Spinach
  • 1/2 Cup Riced Cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 Frozen Banana
  • 1 packet RX Bar Pumpkin Peanut Butter about 1 1/2 tbsp
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Pea Protein
  • 2 Cups Almond Milk

Instructions

  • Add all your ingredients to your high speed blender and blitz on high until the consistency is creamy!

Cinnamon Blueberry Ashwagandha

  • 1 1/2 Cups Coconut Milk
  • 1 Cup Organic Blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 Cup Organic Cherries fresh or frozen
  • 1 Handful Fresh Spinach
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower Seed Butter
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 scoop Vital Protein Collagen Peptides
  • 1/4 tsp Ashwagandha
  • 1 tbsp Bee Pollen Top Your Smoothie!

Instructions

  • 1/2 Frozen Banana

  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Vanilla bean powder
  • Pinch Pink Salt
  • Top with 2 tbsp Flaked Coconut

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in your high speed blender & blend until smooth and creamy!

  • 1 Cup Organic Blueberries Fresh or Frozen
  • 1/2 Frozen Banana
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 2 Handfuls fresh Spinach
  • 1/2 tsp Pink Salt
  • 3 tbsp Hemp Protein

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in your high speed blender and blitz until smooth & creamy!
