My Favorite Christmas Desserts

Happy Friday Y’all! Can you believe we have less than two weeks until Christmas. I’m in total shock. I’m trying to savor every minute of these last few days leading up to Christmas. The anticipation of the holiday season is my favorite part!!! The kids and I plan to get in the spirit this weekend and bake our favorite #grainfree Christmas treats! I remember baking with my Mom every Christmas, and it brings back all the feels to share the tradition with my kids!
If you have teachers, neighbors, friends {or maybe yourself!!} to bake for and want to gift some holiday cheer that’s a little bit on the “healthy” side. Keep reading for my favorite Christmas treats.

Chocolate-Peppermint Thumbprints By Cooking Light

Nothing says Christmas to me more than Chocolate and Peppermint! These little bite size treats are so cute and taste delicious along side a piping hot, hot chocolate! I made a couple edits to the recipe to make this grain free so listen up if that’s your jam!
RECIPE EDITS:
1. I used coconut oil instead of canola oil (canola oil is highly inflammatory!)
2. I used cashew butter instead of tahini. My family is NOT a fan of tahini. You could also use organic heavy cream if dairy isn’t a problem
3. I used organic, dye free candy canes 🙂
4. I used gluten free pastry flour.

I’ve tried several gluten free sugar cookie recipes, and this is by far my favorite! The buttery flavor is delicious and the dense yet pliable texture is so easy to work with when cutting holiday shapes with your little ones! I also love how they are gluten free, dairy free and dye free! **These babies freeze like a dream if you want to save a batch for Christmas!

This fudge is not only delicious, but it’s perfectly festive and so easy to wrap up and present as a gift! I used dye free candy canes and substituted the sweetened condense milk with this dairy free version by Let’s Do Organic
